PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle tool for a bag cord, allowing the bag cord to be covered and a bag to be stably, comfortably and positively carried through the cord. SOLUTION: In this handle tool A for a bag cord body, the lower edges of one half handle piece 11 and the other half handle piece 12 of semi-cylindrical shape with a fixed length are integrally connected through a hinge part 2 to form a cylindrical handle tool body 1 with a closable cord inserting/removing port 3 formed between the upper edges of one half handle piece 11 and the other half handle piece 12, and a closing means 5 for holding the cord inserting/removing port 3 in the closed state is integrally provided at the upper edges of one half handle piece 11 and the other half handle piece 12 of the handle tool body 1. In this constitution, a grip part of the bag cord body can be inserted through and covered with the handle tool body 1 with simple operation of placing the handle tool A on the palm of one hand in the open state of both one half handle piece 11 and the other half handle piece 12, that is, in the open state of the cord inserting/removing port 3, then inserting and placing a grip part of the bag cord body between one half handle piece 11 and the other half handle piece 12 from above through the cord inserting/removing port 3 and closing the palm.
