PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat reclining device for a vehicle capable of effectively minimizing a play between a circular recessed part of a device casing and the outer peripheral surface of a cover in spite of a manufacturing variation between the device casing and the cover. SOLUTION: In this seat reclining device, a projecting part 14a is disposed at a space on the inner peripheral surface side of the circular recessed part 14 formed on the device casing 10, and the inside diameter D2 of the projecting part 14a is formed smaller than the outside diameter D1 of the cover 60. The mechanical strength of the device casing 10 is set comparatively smaller as compared with the mechanical strength of the cover 60.
