PURPOSE: A shopping system using an electronic card and a shopping mall operation method are provided to record catalogs of articles to be purchased in an electronic card, charge the purchaser for sales prices according to contents of the card, and to exchange a receipt for the articles loaded to a special storage in case that the purchaser pays the prices. CONSTITUTION: An electronic card(100) records an itemized statement for purchasing of a purchaser. A plurality of showcase terminal(200) read contents recorded in the electronic card(100). An article management unit(300) manages articles loaded to an article storing place. An estimation unit(400) reads the contents recorded in the electronic card(100) and estimates prices for the itemized statement. A central control unit(500) generates control signals for the showcase terminals(200), the article management unit(300) and the estimation unit(400). In addition, the central control unit(500) manages and controls whole shopping system.
