The circuit has a current mirror circuit consisting of at least two semiconducting elements (T1,T2), each with a control electrode (G1,G2). A voltage source unit (SE) is provided between the control electrodes of the semiconducting elements. The voltage source unit is floating and programmable. Independent claims are also included for the following: a use of the circuit for detecting light.
