PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of diluent water for dialysis made in an artificial dialyzing water refining apparatus by making the diluent water free from endotoxin, to reduce load with respect to the increase in the load of the artificial dialyzing water refining apparatus accompanied by the qualitative deterioration of raw water supplied to the apparatus, to extend the replacing frequency of expendables while enhancing the recovery of raw water and to effectively utilize valuable water resources. SOLUTION: In a water treatment apparatus using a filter membrane as a pretreatment means capable of removing fine particles, endotoxin or the like contained in raw water supplied to the artificial dialyzing water refining apparatus beforehand, the filter membrane module used in the water treatment apparatus is preferably constituted as a whole quantity filtering type one and a backwashing system is provided in the water treatment apparatus.
