PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device for disposing of general waste which is capable of efficiently drying the waste by improving the thermal efficiency of a hot blast feeding machine. SOLUTION: A hammering shredding machine 15 is covered with a heat retaining material 50 and a heat insulating material 60 is provided at coupling parts 52, 54 between the hammering shredding machine 15 and other equipment to be connected to the former and support parts 56, 58 for a floor part. Thus, it is possible to effectively prevent the internal temperature of the hammering shredding machine 15 from dropping due to heat transfer and radiation and thereby, make effective use of the heat, so that the effective drying of the waste is ensured.
