PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to inhibit the loss of wind force and generation of noise by forming a main jet of vortex near a rear guide unit away from a stabilizer. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner has a casing(11) having an air intake port(12) and an air discharge port(14), a heat exchanger(17) and a cross flow fan(15). The air discharge port has vertical vanes(19a) and a horizontal vane(19b) for adjusting the wind direction of air. A rear guide unit(21) having a round part(22a) and a straight part(22b) is formed on the inner wall of the cross flow fan. A stabilizer(31) is formed on the air discharge port to stabilize vortex formed by the cross flow fan. A main jet is mounted away from the rear guide unit. Thereby, the air conditioner is inhibited from loss of wind force and generation of noise.
