PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum-deposited rod which can emit light in a rainbow- like state and simultaneously be lightened. SOLUTION: This rod is produced by forming a coating film 2 on the surface of a cylindrical member by a die-coating method, smoothly finishing the surface of the formed coating film 2 and then disposing an interference pattern thin film A on the finished surface of the coating film 2 by a vacuum deposition method.
