MULTIPIECE SOLID GOLF BALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipiece solid golf ball of a high quality which achieves further increase in flying range by reducing spin at the full shot and enhancing initial speed of hitting with a driver. SOLUTION: In the multipiece solid golf ball with at least one layer of a solid core, an intermediate layer covering the solid core and a cover on the intermediate layer, the thickness of the intermediate layer is 0.8 to 2 mm and the Shore D hardness thereof 50 to 65 while the thickness of the cover is 0.5 to 1.3 mm and the Shore D hardness thereof 37 to 53. The thickness (G1 mm) of the intermediate layer and the thickness (G2 mm> of the cover satisfy the relationship as give by [G1/(G1+G2)]×100>=45%.
