PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new improved tool that is for the installation of a U-nut type fastener in a corner portion of a support plate or panel. SOLUTION: The installation tool for a U-nut type fastener 10 for installing individual U-nut fasteners 10 from a vertically aligned strip 112 of the fasteners in a tool magazine part 114, comprises the magazine part pivotally mounted on a base part 122 so as to serve as an operator handle, and the base part. An urging spring 118 in the magazine pushes the aligned fastener strip toward a dispensing position.
