PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for oral cavity, having more effective dental plaque-inhibitory effect than dextranase which has high plaque-inhibitory efficiency and high safety and is practically used among provided effective ingredients suppressing formation and deposition of the plaque causing periodontal diseases such as dental caries, gingivitis and pyrorrhea alveolaris. SOLUTION: This composition for oral cavity is characterized by being obtained by formulating polylysine and a noncationic sterilizer selected from the group consisting of halogenated diphenyl ethers, halogenated salicylanilides, halogenated carbanilides and phenol compounds. The noncationic sterilizer is preferably triclosan and/or isopropylmethyl phenol.
