PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure of a chassis frame for securing a survival space and sufficiently absorbing impact energy applied to an occupant. SOLUTION: In this reinforcing structure of an almost U-shaped cross-sectional side rail 2 composed of a web part 5 extending in the longitudinal direction X of a car body T and flange parts 6 and 7 extending from the upper and lower ends, the reinforcing structure is provided with a closed cross-sectional area E1 for forming a section in the rear by the prescribed length from the vehicle tip side in a closed cross-sectional shape, an opening cross-sectional area E3 continuously formed rearward from the closed cross-sectional area, a projecting piece 9 projected downward from an upper flange part 603 of the opening cross-sectional area E3 and forming the downward edge c in an upward inclination to the rearward of a vehicle and a second stiffener 11 for forming a lower side part closed cross section B by being connected over the lower flange part 7 and the web part 503 of the opening cross-sectional area E3 and forming an upward surface f opposed to the downward edge c.
