PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel in which a soft water-proof elastic member capable of corresponding to a complicated shape is used to enhance a water- proof effect. SOLUTION: A driving mechanism B is housed in a housing portion 1, and a dent portion 1c comprising a step portion is formed at the inside edge of the joining portion 1b of the portion 1 to a lid 2. A rib 2c is formed in a shape projected to the inside of the portion 1, and the rib 2c is further formed in an inward-uneven shape. Engaging portions 2d comprising notches are formed at plural inward projected dents (a). A cyclic soft water-proof elastic member 3 comprising NBR or the like is brought into contact with the uneven shape outside of the rib 2c. Projected engaging members 3a are formed at the positions of the cyclic soft water-proof elastic member 3, wherein the positions correspond to the engaging members 2d of the rib 2c.
