METHOD FOR CREATING TRANSFORMANT OF PLANT ENDOGENOUS BACTERIUM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING USEFUL SUBSTANCE BY THE TRANSFORMANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transforming a plant endogenous bacterium selected from the genera Pseudomonas and Xanthomonas to create a useful transormant. SOLUTION: This method for creating a useful transformant comprises the following process: a plant endogenous bacterium selected from the genera Pseudomonas and Xanthomonas is inoculated to a sterile seed of a plant different from the plant from which the bacterium was isolated, and is co-cultured to transform the plant endogenous bacterium to create the objective useful transformant. A method is also provided for producing a useful substance by endogenously culturing the transformant in the plant followed by collecting a useful substance accumulated in the plant.
