PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both an infrared ray-screening agent for reflecting infrared rays and alleviating heat even in the sunshine in the daytime by providing the surface of powder with a silver coating film and a cosmetic formulated with the infrared ray-screening agent. SOLUTION: This infrared ray-screening agent has 0.01%-10% silver content in a powder material provided with the silver coating film. This cosmetic is characterized by comprising the powder provided with the silver coating film. The cosmetic has 1-50% of the mixed powder provided with the silver coating film.
