PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container for eggs which is suitable for housing and storing eggs, and eggs. SOLUTION: A lid section 2 and a housing section 3 are integrally connected by a flat plate-shape connecting section 4. In this case, the lid section 2 and the housing section 3 have solid shapes which are suitable for housing eggs. Then, at the central section of the connecting section 4, a folding line 11 which makes the lid section 2 and the housing section 3 openable/closable is formed in the longitudinal direction to form this packaging container 1 for eggs, and eggs are housed in the packaging container 1.
