PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping apparatus capable of surely operating an ejector pin in cooperation with opening/closing operation of a mold. SOLUTION: The mold clamping apparatus comprises a movable plate 53 coupled to an ejector pin 63 provided projectably from and retractably in a moving mold 52 and movably held at a moving die plate 51, a member 24 for a clamp as a restricting means for restricting the movement of the plate 53, an air cylinder 25 and a hook member 58. Only the movement of the plate 53 is specified to the plate 52 further directed from a mold opening limit position PA toward a mold opening direction by the cylinder 25, the pin 63 is projected to the mold 52 by a relative movement between the plate 53 and the plate 51 to push out a molding, and the plate 53 is restricted to prevent the movement of the plate 51 moved to the position PA in a mold closing direction at a non- mold clamping time of the plate 51.
