PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printing apparatus enabling prevention of deterioration of a printing quality due to faulty scraping and enabling prolongation of a life of a component. SOLUTION: Solder paste is printed on a board by sliding a closed type squeegee head 13 holding the solder paste on a mask plate. In the screen printing apparatus thus constituted, two scraping parts 36A and 36B which form front and rear walls positioned in the direction of squeegeeing in a printing space, holding the pressurized solder paste and bringing it into contact with the surface of the mask plate and of which the lower ends are so provided as to be in contact with the surface of the mask plate are constituted respectively of a sliding contact part 37a which is equipped with an abrasion resisting means for decreasing the advance of the abrasion of the slidable contact part with the surface of the mask plate, and of a holding part 37b which holds the sliding contact part 37a and presses it elastically on the surface of the mask plate. According to this constitution, the excellent property of following the mask plate can be made compatible with the abrasion resistance.
