PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of stably removing foreign matter in powder at high accuracy although a relatively simple and inexpensive device is used. SOLUTION: The device 1 for detecting the foreign matter (b) incorporated in power (a) by visual observation is provided with a transparent or translucent transporting member 20 for loading and transporting the power (a), light sources 35 and 36 for irradiating the power (a) loaded on the transporting member 20 and transported with light and a suction means 41 for sucking and removing the foreign matter (b) incorporated in the power (a) loaded on the transporting member 20 and transported.
