PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support base for clothes dyer with a relatively inexpensive structure capable of raising and falling a clothes dryer. SOLUTION: This support base for clothes dryer 1, which supports a clothes dryer 3 above a washing machine 2, comprises a pair of leg members 11 and 11 extending longitudinally in Fig. 1, struts 12 and 12 raised on the rear ends of the leg members 11 and 11, respectively, and a base seat 13 mounted on the upper ends of the struts 12 and 12. Each of the struts 12 has a fixed strut 14 fixed to the leg member 11 and a movable strut 15 slidably inserted into the fixed strut 14, and the base seat 13 is formed so as to extend from the upper end of the movable strut 15 to this side. This support base further comprises a lifting mechanism for raising and lowering the base seat 13, and when a handle 19 is manually rotated, the base seat 13 is raised and lowered by the action of a wire moving device 18.
