PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To gather data by scanning a desired scanning range neither too much nor too little. SOLUTION: An operator is made to input scanning time T and a scanning range W (steps S1 and S2), a detector thickness D and a helical pitch P are obtained based on the inputted scanning time T and scanning range W (steps S3 and S4), helical scanning is performed by the scanning time T, the detector thickness D and the helical pitch P and the data are collected (step S5). Thus, an operation procedure matches with clinical priority. Also, the inputted scanning range matches with an actual scanning range and it becomes neither too much nor too little.
