TICK PEROXYREDOXIN, NUCLEIC ACID MOLECULE ENCODING THE SAME AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of synthesis for compounds for exterminating ticks and protecting domestic animals from acariasis and a method of control for various tick-borne zoonotic diseases. SOLUTION: A gene encoding peroxyredoxin (Prx) on ticks is separated and provided. Further, a recombinant Prx protein having enzyme activity is produced and refined from a recombinant somatic cell obtained by means of transformation by the vector obtained by inserting a protein code domain into a protein expression plasmid vector. In addition, a method of preparation for antibody against tick Prx is provided. Additionally, a localized Prx on a tick tissue specimen is not only provided but also the reactivity between the Prx and a rabbit tick-immune serum used as a probe for vaccine candidate molecule is shown.
