PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding tool capable of easily and rapidly binding a packaging end while the binding tool can easily adjust a tightening force and ensure a large tightening force. SOLUTION: This binding tool comprises a J-shaped holding bar 5 comprising a handle part 5 having a hooking part 56, a shaft part 53 and a connection part 55, and a binding tool main body 1 having a handle part insertion hole part 12, a shaft part insertion hole part 13 and a supporting part 17. A locked part to be engaged with an arbitrary locking part 56 of the handle part 51 inserted in the handle part insertion hole part 12 is provided. When the handle part 51 of the holding bar 5 is pressed into the handle part insertion hole part 12, a body to be bound is held and bound by the holding bar 5 and the supporting part 17, and the holding bar 5 is fixed at the position where the handle part 51 is fully pressed in so as not to be disengaged by the engagement of the locking part 56 with the locked part 15.
