SOLUTION: A partial image erasing part 95 specifies the binarized image of a contour in the bottom part of a can which is an object to be inspected, for example, in a binarized image and erases the binarized image of an erasion area corresponding to a mark area. A column segmenting part 96 specifies plural character strings in the binarized image after an erasing processing and segments the specified character string from the image by one column at a time. A character width for segmenting a character is previously fixed in a character segmenting part 97. The character segmenting part 97 specifies the respective characters included in the character string whenever the character string is given, judges whether the width of the specified character is more than the applying character width or not and segments only the applying characters one by one. |
