PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible heat sensitive recording medium having excellent moisture resistance and water resistance without lowering a contrast of an image. SOLUTION: The reversible heat sensitive recording medium A comprises a laminate of a light reflecting layer 2 made of metal provided on a film-like base material 1 made of a synthetic resin by aluminum vapor depositing, a heat sensitive recording layer 4 provided on the layer 2 via an intermediate layer 3 containing an antioxidant, a protective layer 5 made of an acrylic resin or the like and a print layer 6 superposed on the layer 4, all closely adhered and integrated. The layer 4 is made of a heat sensitive recording material composition obtained by dispersing particles of an organic low molecular compound for reversibly bringing about a phase transition of a crystal or fusion according to its temperature, in a resin matrix. The intermediate layer hardly generates a free radical (radical) to deteriorate the resin or eliminates an air gap (bubbles) allowing a moisture or a hydrogen chloride to invade between a metal layer and the intermediate layer. Accordingly, the reflecting layer made of the metal is not deteriorated, the image contrast is not lowered even under using conditions of a high humidity of the recording medium, and the recording medium having the excellent moisture resistance and water resistance is obtained. |
