PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for easily controlling the traveling positioning of a spreader without reducing the carrying speed of a transfer crane with excellent accuracy. SOLUTION: A speed/acceleration setting unit 16 for the carrying-traveling mode and a speed/acceleration setting unit 17 for the positioning-traveling mode are provided on a traveling control unit 11 of the transfer crane in a switchable manner by a switch 15, a pushbutton, etc., so that the transfer crane can be positioned to a loading position of a storage container row.
