PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-reinforced building material capable of surely decreasing generation of breakage of contents due to nailing without using specially structured contents wherein a yield is decreased. SOLUTION: The surface-reinforced building material is provided wherein in a section of a floor material, a central part where contents are positioned is strand board layer wherein many sheets of thinly shaved veneers are laminated, front and rear faces or the front face of the strand board layer are a hard fiberboard layer, and facing is suitably applied to a board like body wherein the strand board is integrated with the hard fiberboard layer.
