PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a zirconia-based article with metallic appearance like gold. SOLUTION: The finished or unfinished zirconia formed body which is partially reduced is arranged in a reaction chamber, then treated with plasma which is generated from ammonia or a mixture of nitrogen and hydrogen, at an average temperature of the article of 500-900 deg.C and for at least 5 min. |
