PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve washing performance in a washing machine. SOLUTION: The water in a washing tub 2 is forcedly circulated, whereby the washing performance is improved. A circulation mechanism 70 takes in water through a drain valve 53 protrusively provided on the outer bottom surface of the washing tub 2 and circulates it to the upper part of the washing tub 2. The circulation mechanism 70 guides the water through an outlet-side hose 73 connected to the discharge port of a pump 71. The outlet-side hose 73 is mounted along the outer surface of an outer tub 21. Since the outlet-side hose 73 is disposed along the outside surface of the outer tub 21, the hose has no fear of generating a beating sound or breaking by the contact with a housing 1.
