PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper processing device capable of continuing the formation of an image and efficiently processing the image without generating a stack defective and jam, when sheet members of arbitrary quantity are extracted from a stacking means. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a delivered paper tray 108 for stacking paper carried from an image forming device side, a driving unit for elevating/lowering the delivered paper tray 108 and a pair of carrier rollers for carrying paper to the delivered paper tray 108. When extraction of paper bundles of prescribed quantity from the delivered paper tray 108 is detected by a third sensor S3, first and second solenoids 140 and 141 are turned on, first and second guide plates 104 and 106 are opened in a carrier path 103, transmission of driving force for paper is prevented, a rear end of paper stayed at the position is pressed by a pressing claw, succeeding paper is successively slid on the pressed paper and is laminated and paper carried from the image forming device side is held at the position of the first guide plate 104.
