PURPOSE: A device for adjusting the tension of a belt for a tripper car is provided to stably maintain the trough angle of a belt of a tripper by upward and downward moving a fame depending on the weight of a load on the belt, to prevent the flying or falling of a load, to prevent environmental pollution, and to improve work efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A middle roller(17) rotatably combined to a fixed frame(40-1) via a connecting pin(20) and having an axial length shorter than that of another middle roller of the fixed frame is installed on the upper portion of a movable frame(2) having a support beam and a slide pin(4). A tension control unit(43) performing a see-saw action via a support(28) and a connecting bracket(9) and having a cylinder(10) combined to the lower end of a bent arm(6) is inserted with the slide pin through a guide hole(5-1) of a guide panel(5) attached to the upper end of the bent arm. A taper roller pressurizes both sides of a belt(1) passing by the movable frame. A sensing unit includes a striker contacting with a limit switch. The limit switch is connected with the cylinder.
