PURPOSE: An insect observation flowerpot containing a larva of a butterfly, a food plant, a flowerpot and a net for covering the flowerpot and preventing escape of the larva and butterfly therefrom is provided. Therefore everyone can observe the growth process of the butterfly and enjoy at home without the need for any special equipment. CONSTITUTION: The flowerpot comprises: a flowerpot(10) in which a food plant(1) for a larva is planted; a support(20) for fixing a net in which one side part thereof is inserted into flowerpot soil to have a specified space for enabling a larva and a butterfly to live therein; a net(30) for preventing escape of the larva and butterfly therefrom and having a size of 1mm or less.
