摘要 PURPOSE: A remote optical line network management system using the Internet is provided so that accidents can be prevented by automatically monitoring and recording loss variations of the optical line network, and that maintenance and repair expenses can be cut down by notifying a repair and change time of the optical line network in advance. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of water ingress sensors(B1,...,B6) are installed in an optical fiber cable closure body of an optical line network connected to each optical terminating equipment(A1,...A6). When water ingress occurs, the plurality of water ingress sensors(B1,...,B6) forcibly provide bending to covered optical fibers, and convert a position of the closure body and an optical loss into an optical property signal. An optical line fault multimeter(100) analyzes a waveform property of light from the plurality of water ingress sensors(B1,...,B6), generates an alarm when the optical line has a fault, monitors a loss increment state of the optical line in a real time, and stores, records and outputs the resultant value. A control server(200) receives data from the optical line fault multimeter(100) through an interface unit, processes corresponding information, and provides line information of a corresponding optical line monitoring section to accessible client computers(310,320) through the Internet network.
