METHOD FOR DETECTING ABNORMALITY OF AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: An abnormality detecting method of an air conditioner is provided to decide the abnormality of an air conditioner exactly as all of components including a compressor are assembled completely. CONSTITUTION: An AE(Acoustic Emission) signal of a compressor is detected while a completely assembled air conditioner is starting in an assembly line. A specific element of parameter is detected from the detected AE signal. The detected parameter is compared with threshold to decide the entire abnormality of the air conditioner(202,304,306). Herein, the AE signal is detected in a specific time after the air conditioner is started. The parameter is AE energy, the square root of square sum of AE absolute mean or AE signal. The abnormality of the air conditioner is detected with reliability by using the AE method.
