PURPOSE: A method for cleaning a plasma display panel using a laser is provided to reduce costs and a time for cleaning a plasma display by using a laser and a nitrogen gas. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel is transferred automatically to a cleaning room. Pollutants such as particles, organic materials, and ionized impurities are separated from a surface of the plasma display panel by radiating a laser to the whole surface of the transferred plasma display panel. The pollutants are discharged to outside of the plasma display panel by injecting an inert gas such as a nitrogen gas to the whole surface of the plasma display panel. An electrostatic phenomenon between the plasma display panel and the pollutants is removed by a laser ablation effect when the laser is radiated to the whole surface of the plasma display panel. A KrF excimer laser or an ArF excimer laser are used as the laser.
