PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation stabilizer which has versatility in use, has a high degree of freedom and can stabilize rotation by suppressing rotational fluctuation and a rotational drive mechanism, image forming device and image reader having this rotation stabilizer. SOLUTION: The rotation stabilizer 11 freely attachably and detachably couples a rotating member 12 and an inertial member 13 to a mounting member 25 by means of a viscoelastic member 24. The viscoelastic meter and the coupling member is mounted so as to penetrate the rotating member and the inertia member in a radial direction of the central axis of rotation.
