PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which well separates an image carrying member and a sheet by exactly maintaining the exposure energy (post exposure energy) prior to transfer of a developed image to the sheet and decreases downtime by the decreased jams of the sheet. SOLUTION: The change rates of the inclination β of potential change after post exposure and the inclination γ of the post-exposure potential change are nearly constant, from which PPn+1 may be predicted by PPn+1=PPn+(LPn+1-LPn)... equation (3). Then, the laser beam emission quantities LPn, LPn+1 obtained by every potential control are stored into a CPU 16 and arithmetic processing is performed, by which the energy PPn+1 after post-exposure to make it possible to obtain the target potential after post-exposure Vpt is calculated. The post-exposure energy is changed and controlled at every potential control and the result of the determination is outputted in image formation. |
