<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To displays electronic mail sentences, prepared by electronic equipment having a large screen such as a personal computer, in an easy-to-read state without spoiling the image of the original sentences of the electronic mail sentences, when the electronic mail sentences are received and displayed by electronic equipment, having a small display screen, such as a portable telephone set. SOLUTION: Electronic mail sentences received by a communication means, which can send and receive electronic mail are displayed by electronic equipment. When the number of display columns of the original sentences of the received electronic mail sentences is larger than the number of display width columns of one line of the electronic mail original of the electronic equipment, it is decided whether there are successive identical symbols in the original sentences and when so, the mail sentences are displayed, while the successive identical symbol parts are deleted so that the electronic mail sentences are arranged within the number of the display width columns of the electronic equipment.</p> |
