PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a recording material is largely deflected to make positional slippage of an image conspicuous because a rear face image forming means for rear face image formation has a long carrying path. SOLUTION: The rear face image forming means is provided with a deflection detection sensor, and deflection in rear face image formation is corrected on the basis of the detection result. Deflection information for front face image formation is used to correct deflection for rear face image formation.
