<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a spread spectrum receiver that reduces the number of processed bits, while ensuring dynamic range in its digital section, so as to decrease circuit scale and power consumption. SOLUTION: The spread spectrum receiver is provided with an analog/digital converter section (1a, 1b), that converts a received analog base band signal into a digital signal, a correlation unit (2a, 2b) that subjects inverse spread processing to the digital signal, an effective bit location decision circuit 30 that subjects absolute value processing to the received signal, after the inverse spread processing and decides the effective bit location of an inverse spread output on the basis of the absolute value, and selectors (34a, 34b) that figure out number of bits of the inverse spread output, on the basis of the effective bit location.</p> |
