PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of enlargement in circuital scale of an OSD unit, to which a high function is required in a BS digital radio receiver. SOLUTION: Data included in auxiliary data, such as caption data and character data, is stored as an image data plane in a memory. The image data plane stored in the memory is synthesized with a visual image signal.
