PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna system whose sensitivity is enhanced by increasing a front side to rear side radio of an antenna. SOLUTION: The antenna system has a case 3 on which a pole antenna 1 is erected upright and supported, and a conductive ground plate 11 provided to the case 3 in order to enhance the sensitivity of a radio wave received by the antenna 1. The ground plate 1 has a main plate section 11a of a flat plate shape having a size larger than the size of a cross sectional area of the antenna 1 in the direction crossing the axial direction of the antenna 1 and placed in the crossing direction, and sub plate section 11b that is extended backward toward the rear side of the antenna from the main plate section 11a.
