PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the vibration mode of a piezoelectric transformer element in a piezoelectric transformer, by making easy and sure the supporting of the piezoelectric transform element at its supporting points. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric transformer has a plate-form piezoelectric transformer element 22 and a supporter 23 for supporting the piezoelectric transformer element 22 in a sandwiching way. Supporting-point portions 32 are integrally molded on the opposing upper and lower sides of the supporter 23. Each space between the upper and lower side supporting-point portions 32 is so set to a smaller value than the plate thickness of the piezoelectric transformer element 22 as to contact pressingly the supporting-point portions 32 with the existent vibration-node portions of the piezoelectric transformer element 22 on its upper and lower surfaces and support it elastically.
