PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a credit information providing system for allowing the credit judgment of a partner performing a commercial transaction through a computer network. SOLUTION: A purchase client 120 performing a transaction according to the sale information of a selling client 110 through the computer network 130 performs the inquiry request 142 for the selling client 110 to a credit investigation server 110 through the computer network 130 prior to it. The credit investigation server 100 preliminarily stores the credit judgment information forming the base information for credit judgment on every client performing the commercial transaction that is connected to the computer network 130, and provides the information according to the inquiry request. The purchase client 120 performs a required credit judgment processing on the basis of the received credit judgment information, sets the credit limit amount to the selling client 110, and performs the commercial transaction with the selling client 110 within the range of this limit amount.
