PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance running efficiency of a hybrid vehicle, mounted with a fuel cell and a heat engine. SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle comprises a motor, driven by a fuel cell 54 as an electric power source and an engine 10 as a power source. Electric power output efficiencies of both the fuel cell and a battery are calculated, to carry out the changeover between the two modes, namely a fuel cell priority mode and a battery priority mode according to the efficiency level, selecting either of them whichever is higher in the efficiency. The changeover of the control mode is also carried out according to the regenerative mode. In this way, the running efficiency is improved by changing over the control mode properly. |
