PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve characteristics of an electric-wave absorbing body manufactured from wasted magnetic tapes. SOLUTION: The wasted magnetic tape is shredded into small square pieces of a few mm, which is curled under heat to provide a contracted cylindrical magnetic tape piece of 0.03-0.2 mm in diameter. The contracted magnetic tape piece is added with a thermo-setting resin, which is pressure-formed to provide a hard panel. That is used to manufacture a flat base 12 and multiple protruding parts 14 projecting on one surface of the base 12, with a metal layer 16 provided on the other surface (a surface on the side opposite to the protruding part formation surface) of the base 12. The protruding part 14 is formed into a rectangular solid shape in top view is square. The formation parts of the protruding part 14 and exposed parts of the base 12 are so regularly and evenly arranged as to form a lattice pattern. The thickness of the protruding part 14 (a protrusion amount from the base part 12) is so set as to be almost equal to 1/4 wavelength of an electric-wave which is to be absorbed. |
