PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven preventing an excessive heating and realizing energy saving. SOLUTION: The microwave oven is provided with a magnetron 15 for feeding a high frequency to a heating chamber 4; an attachable partition plate 5 dividing the heating chamber 4 to an upper heating chamber 4d and a lower heating chamber 4e; load dispatching parts 12, 13 provided on the upper heating chamber 4d and the lower heating chamber 4e; upper and lower shutters 19, 21 for opening/closing the load dispatching ports 12, 13; detection means 16b, 17b for detecting a finished state of an object to be cooked; an operation panel 3 for selecting the upper heating chamber 4d or the lower heating chamber 4e or the upper heating chamber 4d and the lower heating chamber 4e; and a control part 32 for controlling a driving of the magnetron 15, the upper shutter 19 and the lower shutter 21. In the case where the upper heating chamber 4d and the lower heating chamber 4e are selected by the operation panel 3, the control part 32 controls a driving of the upper shutter or the lower shutter 21 such that the load dispatching port firstly detecting a finishing of the object to be cooked by detection means 16b, 17b becomes a predetermined opening ratio.
