PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the measurement of a grammar comprehension rate or the reduction of inspection man-hours using a BNF file and word/phrase analysis file developed by a language processing system to be inspected as they are. SOLUTION: A grammar comprehension rate measuring gauge program generator 100 operates syntax analysis by reading a BNF file 220, and stores BNF data generated based on the syntax analysis in a BNF rule data base 130, and generates a syntax analyzing means program and BNF rule check list program based on the BNF rule data base 130. A grammar comprehension rate measuring equipment 300 reads the syntax analyzing means program and BNF rule check list program, and checks the BNF data in a BNF rule check list 330 indicating an BNF grammar rule existing in an input file 390 for a test according to those contents, and generates and outputs information indicating the comprehension of the BNF grammar rule related with the input file 390 for a test and the comprehension rate based on the check.
