PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage controlled oscillator that employs a transistor(TR) for oscillation and amplification purposes where the size of an IC chip is decreased while increasing a frequency change. SOLUTION: In this voltage controlled oscillator consisting of an oscillation and amplification TR (1) acting as emitter connected by connecting a power supply (Vcc) to its collector, a piezoelectric vibrator connected between the base and the collector of the TR, a 1st voltage variable capacitance diode (D1) connected between a ground and a connecting point of the piezoelectric vibrator (2) and the base and a 2nd voltage variable capacitance diode (D2) connected between the collector of the TR (1) and ground, a 1st DC block capacitor (C1) is connected between the base and the connecting point (A) of the piezoelectric vibrator (2) and the base, a 2nd DC block capacitor (C2) is connected between the 2nd voltage variable capacitance diode (D2) and the collector, and the piezoelectric vibrator (2) is connected to a connecting point (C) between the 2nd voltage variable capacitance diode (D2) and the 2nd DC block capacitor (C2).
