PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily compose a variety of music meeting the user's will. SOLUTION: This device has means for separately specifying period constitution or chord motion respectively. The period constitution and the chord motion are separately specified by the specifying means. Namely, the user who attempts to implement composition operation can respectively separately determine the period constitution or the chord motion which is the basis in making automatic composition. If the period constitution and the chord motion are determined in the manner described above, the user can properly change the combinations of the period constitution and the chord motion which are used in making automatic composition and therefore the variations of the many combinations may be easily obtained. The user is thus able to easily make a variety of the automatic composition simply by properly changing the combinations of the period constitution and the chord motion. |
